Cajun Candied Pecan & Sausage Bites
Yield: 3 dozen Sausage Bites
Ingredients
- 1 pkg Richard's Premium Andouille Sausage (3 links) cut into 1-inch coins
- 1/4 block Cream Cheese (softened to spread)
- 2 Tbs Butter
- 6 Tbs Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup Chopped Pecans
- Pepper Jelly for garnish
- Richard's Cajun Seasoning (if you like em' spicy)
Directions
- Heat grill or non-stick skillet and cook both sides of sausage coins
- Remove from heat & set aside to cool
- When cooled, spread each coin with cream cheese
- Dab a bit of pepper jelly onto cream cheese
- Top with candied pecans and enjoy!
Candied Pecans
- Melt 2Tbs butter in nonstick skillet
- For a Cajun kick, add 2Tbs Richard's Cajun Seasoning
- Add 6Tbs Brown Sugar and melt together
- Add 1 cup chopped Pecans and stir until well coated
- Spread out onto parchment paper to cool
