Cajun Sausage & Chicken Alfredo Pasta

Yield: 8-10 Servings

Ingredients

  • 16oz package of Richard's Premium Smoked Pork Sausage, sliced diagonally
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp of Richard's Cajun Seasoning, plus more for garnish
  • 1lb chicken, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 4 Tbsp olive oil
  • Ground black pepper and salt, to taste
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1qt low sodium chicken broth
  • 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1lb dried penne pasta
  • 4oz parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Italian flat leaf parsley, minced (optional)

Directions

  1. In a large pan, season the cut chicken with salt and pepper and brown in olive oil over medium high heat.
  2. Add Premium Smoked Sausage and continue to cook until lightly browned.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for for about two minutes.
  4. In a separate pot, add the chicken broth, heavy cream, dried pasta and Richard’s Cajun Seasoning.
  5. Stir together and bring to a simmer over medium high heat. Add in the sausage and chicken.
  6. Reduce heat to low and let cook covered for 15-20 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
  7. Remove pot from heat and stir in parmesan cheese.
  8. Stir in chopped parsley and sprinkle with additional Richard’s Cajun Seasoning if you desire!
